I have used local/argos/ikea in the past but looking for modern furniture to add to over a few months

is ikea still the best place? children all grown, no little ones here until grandchildren arrive one day!

i want a complete overhaul of the lounge.the lot is going on fb marketplace. (after christmas)

fancy a leather recliner chair and nice artwork too.

How exciting to have a completely fresh start! How would you describe the interior styles you're drawn to? Do you have a floorplan of the room, or a Pinterest board with some images for inspiration?

My house is mostly Made with some IKEA. Artwork I tend to look for local artists either at fairs or on Instagram.

We have a mixture of IKEA , John Lewis and habitat , also made.com

I've bought things from a number of retailers in the past year.
I've been happiest with the furniture from John Lewis and least happy with lkea. Argos, you get what you pay for but if you want something inexpensive they have some ok things.
Wayfair has a ton of options, at a wide range of prices.

I've mostly got a mix of Ikea and John Lewis. If I had the money/didn't have young DC, I'd look in Barker & Stonehouse

Loaf sofa and coffee table, Made chair, Habitat bookshelf and lamp, IKEA kallax in various rooms, Swoon sideboard, La Redoute for cute pink side tables.

plenty there for me to look at then!

we are in a new build. long rectangular room, window either end. I want a dining table in here too. big bright room.

definitely favour modern over traditional. dark oak wood flooring will be first and really want to avoid grey! dont mind some but not much of it

John Lewis, Furniture Village (for dining furniture) , Next (do good sofas) Habitat, IKEA. We also go to a local furniture store that sells British made goods. A lot depends on your budget.

Wayfair.co.uk has an absolutely huge range of furniture at many price ranges. Worth a browse even if it's just to get ideas.
