Does anyone know the difference between the iPhone pro 12 vs pro max?

Do you think the max is too big?

I’ve asked a similar question on Christmas. Also wondering what is the best one out of iPhone 12, mini, pro and pro max. Seems like too much choice.

I know

A slightly better camera and battery is as far as I can see. I have the XS and I went sim only in the end as I couldn’t see they were much better.
A colleague went from the XS Max to the 12 Pro Max and she said the camera is the only difference really and not much in it. And the casing of the phone, but how often is an iPhone out of a protective case?!

Does anyone find the max too big?

My ds has the pro max and it is huge, he had the xs max and it's bigger than that.

I have the Pro and DD has the Max. She always has the Max when she can. She's had the 10, 11 and 12 Pro. The Max is far too big for me. The Max's camera is slightly better than the Pro but day to day it doesn't mean much unless you're into photography.

I had the XR before I got the Pro. The Pro is that little bit smaller than the XR but it makes such a difference. I can hold the Pro one-handed, use the apps one-handed, no problem. I really, really like the Pro.

Thank you both

I’m due an upgrade and have been wondering this also. I found this comparison page on the apple website, which has a lot of information, including differences in size and weight.

www.apple.com/uk/iphone/compare/

I currently have an 11 Pro Max; it felt unwieldy at first, but I soon got used to it, although I need a relatively thin case, or it’s that bit too big. I’m still undecided, but I’ll probably go for the 12 Pro Max.

Did you ever think the max was too big?

Honestly, yes, at first. For full disclosure, I’m an average build male, and it’s a fair fit for my hand. I can use it one-handed, also, I wear jeans a lot, and it’s fine for jeans pockets. That said, my very slight DM has one, and gets on with it just fine - she really likes the bigger screen.

I’m edging towards the Pro Max, but whatever I get, I’ll have 14 days cooling-off. I’m not sure I’d do it without that safety net.

Sorry, not sure I’m being much help. Blush

That’s very helpful. Thanks Smile it’s hard to know when it’s so much money.

Absolutely. It might be worth seeing if you can get one with a cooling-off period.

I’ve just remembered that a friend recently got the 12, and loves it. I’ve seen it, and the screen display is gorgeous.

Christmastime4 · 10/12/2020 19:51

Thanks for the info.

You’re welcome, hope it’s helped.
