Adding photos to a Facebook post.

Hello, I'm after some technical assistance, I would like to add a photo to a Facebook post. I used to be able to do this easily, just click the little camera icon, and select the photo I want.
I have since changed phones, now when I click it gives me a random selection of photos either I have taken or i have been sent on WhatsApp etc, in a totally random date order. How can I link it to my Google Photos, so I have a chance of finding what I want?
Not sure if I have explained well enough, will be grateful for any assistance.

You can’t link it to Google photos I don’t think. You have to save the photo to your phone first. Find the pic in Google Photos then go to share then save to device.

I don’t use an android, but normally if you wait a few seconds after the random images appear, you should be able to click on the folder you are in and select a new folder, for example favourites.

Or, go to the folder first. Select the image, choose share to Facebook and then type your message under that shareable image.

Thank you both. I was looking for share to device, but couldn't see it. There is no option for selecting folders on the Facebook screen.
I know that I can share a photo to Facebook, but that's only good for starting my own post on my timeline. I want to be able to comment on posts with a photo.

I am 3 days late but have done a couple of IC and all negative. Did this today and looked negative but now looking at it a few hours later I can see a v v faint line .. not sure

I think you are not meant to rely on them after a few hours anyway

I think there might have been an unhelpful FB update. I haven't changed my phone, but I used to be able to select a folder and choose the photo I want. But now it just gives probably about thirty most recent photos, from all my folders mixed up, no scrolling down for more or options of folders. This only happens when I am replying to a comment, if I am posting on my wall I get all the options of any photo. It's really, really annoying.
