I'm waiting on a phone call from the doctor this morning (no time specified) & I'm rather nervous.
It's for DS2, who is 9. We have long suspected he has autism, and we are now pursuing a diagnosis. We didn't before because he is so happy & has lots of support in place already - 32.5 hours 1-1 at school via EHCP, DLA, appointments with physio/OT/speech therapist/educational psychologist when needed. Now he is starting to become self-aware & we are thinking about senior school as he is Year 5, so we thought a diagnosis would be helpful.
I am really nervous I'm going to let him down by saying the wrong thing or not knowing what to say! Silly as I sit through meetings about him at least every term & have had numerous appointments in the past. This just seems more official somehow.
