Ok so I’m after a housewarming present for someone who needs just about everything. They love cooking and baking especially. What have you got in your kitchen that you would hate to part with?

Good Dualit kettle

Big Le Creuset casserole (will be more than £30 but equivalent)

Really good Japanese knives

Large pestle and mortar.

ElspethFlashman · 08/12/2020 19:29

I have a random one. I recently bought what I can only describe as an enormous spoon strainer. It's the greatest thing on earth as I've discovered that you can spoon out an entire portion in one go!

Embarrassingly it's only 3 quid! But it's amazing!

ShalomToYouJackie · 08/12/2020 19:30

Digital weighing scales or my air fryer (although that was £40). Or my stick blender!

SummerHouse · 08/12/2020 19:30

Aeropress, aeropress, aeropress.

theresagiantonthebeach · 08/12/2020 19:31

Bumble84 · 08/12/2020 19:33

An air fryer - possible to get for under £30
Nice champagne (proseco) flutes
A good non stick saucepan and frying pan
A good big soup mug like a cross between a mug and a bowl

Bumble84 · 08/12/2020 19:33

Oh and a hand blender (for the soup) 😂

peachypetite · 08/12/2020 19:34

Stick blender

nancybotwinbloom · 08/12/2020 19:34

I came on to say stick blender!

Meredithgrey1 · 08/12/2020 19:35

Cheese grater
Garlic press

Lyricallie · 08/12/2020 19:36

Another one for stick blender!

Also we use our coffee grinder like every day so we have freshly ground coffee.

Drbrowns · 08/12/2020 19:36

A really good garlic press and a really good veg peeler.

Oreservoir · 08/12/2020 19:36

A good can opener.
Rolling pin bands. They're different thicknesses so you can roll out icing, biscuits etc properly.

MrPanks · 08/12/2020 19:36

kenwood handheld mixer £27. Fantastic for cakes, batters and the like.

DaffodilsAndDandelions · 08/12/2020 19:37

Another vote for stick blender.
Slow cooker
Rectangular dish for lasagne
Casserole dish with lid
Cutlery set
Electric whisk
Balance scales and weights

ScalpHelp · 08/12/2020 19:37

I bought a cheap mixer from Amazon, it’s like an electric hand whisk? I haven’t used it yet as I don’t really bake!

Most of my kitchen gadgets are over £30, but maybe you could find a cheap nutribullet?

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 08/12/2020 19:37

I have a 'single strainer' like Elspeths, it's brilliant. Mine was a different brand, but same thing.

I have a wooden handled, silicon ended spatula - love it

If they really need 'everything' & love baking, how about a really nice Mason Cash Mixing Bowl? That's quite practical as well as gifty.

CosyQueen · 08/12/2020 19:38

My slow cooker,
Or a good deep baking tray/dish - to make big lasagnes/ pies etc in

NotExactlyMrsCurrentAffairs · 08/12/2020 19:39

Decent can opener, the cheapo ones are useless.
Nicer dicer, don't think you can get these actual ones anymore but I think oxo make a similar product, it's perfect and so easy to chop onions.
A decent wok with a lid, I use mine for many things, not just stir fry, bolognese, curry, chilli, I used it tonight for shepherd's pie filling.
A good knife.
Slow cooker.
Spice rack.
Enamel roasting tin.
Pan rack like this www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/grundtal-wall-shelf-stainless-steel-20341569/
I have one in my kitchen to hang my saucepans and frying pans, saves loads of cupboard space
