Finding your favourite author has written another trilogy about your favourite characters and set in the same world?

I’ve just found the ‘Fitz and the Fool’ series by Robin Hobb when I was looking for the last Dragon series book.

Happy Christmas to meeee!

Yes - being the author, and realising your characters haven;t finished yet.

Honest to God that's nicer than chocolate.
(10k words into a book I didn;t think I could write, that started off as "what happened after the first series finished" and then turned into a short story and now it's a full novel. YESSSS!!!!!)

It is @Marmite27.
I am not, I might add, Robin Hobb Smile but I've had at least one of the characters from my first series giving me hard stares for the last 6 years muttering "you think that's how it ends? Really? You think I'm just going to shut up and go quietly?"

Not having him making sarky comments down my creative earhole is a blessing in and of itself. Now I just have to sort his benighted in-laws out and we're good....
