Recommendations for a insulated coffee flask?

Looking at getting an easy to use on the go insulated coffee cup. Just a standard cup size, not a flask with seperate lid. Looking at the hydroflask flex sip - does anyone have one and would you recommend? Or do you have a great small flask you would recommend?

Do you mean sealed or with a sipper?

Givemestrengthorgin · 08/12/2020 12:00

Both I think...so it's sealed and will stay hot for hours but then the mouthpiece can be twisted open so I can drink straight from it without having to pour it into a separate cup/lid.

The one you mentioned looks good - it better work though at that price! The most success I've had is a metal Costa flask but I can see why you don't want the lid faff

Can't comment on the one mentioned, but I am very pleased with my Contigo. I got it after reccomendations on here.

nevernotstruggling · 08/12/2020 12:11

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants is it cheaper?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/12/2020 13:12

Yes, by about 7 quid, Contigo being the cheaper.

The conti go west loop auto seal looks so good!! That's what I'd go for if I didn't have like 75 different coffee cups 😂

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/12/2020 13:33

We used to have a few different ones, but coffee didn't stay hot for very long, even with names like Thermos, who have made flasks forever. Contigo was probably the last shot, but stays pretty hot for about 5 hrs. Just this morning, I took it to the gym, I have to bribe myself with nice coffee to go :)

Contigo!

We have had our contigos for a few years now, still working well.

My contiguous lasted me years and is amazing it keeps it hot and doesn’t leak at all so can safely put it in my bag. Very easy to drink from. The one I have now is a cheap one with a flip lid and I always end up with the lid dripping coffee on my nose. I bought my son a contigo auto seal for Christmas so he can take a hot choc to football and noticed they have a lock on the button now for added reassurance that it won’t leak.

Contigo!!

unebaguettepastropcuite · 08/12/2020 16:06

I have a Camelback one which I'm very pleased with. It has the sipper

pollywollydoodler · 08/12/2020 16:25

I have 2 Contigo autoseal west loop ones. A 16 and a 20oz one. I've used them alternate days for a year. They still look great and have never leaked. Usually £25-30 but some colours go for sillier prices ie £50+

Nightmanagerfan · 08/12/2020 16:28

Klean kanteen are amazing. TK wide insulated would suit you. They’re ethically made too

Givemestrengthorgin · 08/12/2020 21:13

Thanks everyone. The contigo one looks great but my DH has a Stanley one of a similar design and I find it tricky having to push the button in and drink at the same time. The contigo one looks easier than his one where the button is small and stiff. But I've decided to give the hydro flask a burl. Hopefully it won't be an expensive mistake!
