Sewists; any idea how to cuff these pj's so they're not dragging on the ground?

& without spending any more money on stuff to do it?

I don't particularly like sewing stretch fabric but dd2 has pj day at school next Friday so I've said I'll try.

Tia :)

You need a 'European hem' - there are tutorials on YouTube. You could probably do it with some wonderweb iron on hemming tape if you want to avoid sewing.

If they're a knit fabric the ends won't fray. If your really want simple just chop them at the right length. Job done. 😁

lucysmam · 07/12/2020 19:19

Fefifofaff I'd rather properly hem them! Unfinished hems would annoy me (even though I'm not wearing them).

IsFinnRogersDead, I'll go have a look now, thankyou.

What is the hem like ATM? If your lucky you might well be able to make a hole in the seam, thread some elastic through and reclose the seam. It’d stop them dragging and be minimal faff.

OwlBasket · 07/12/2020 19:27

You’re🤦‍♀️

lucysmam · 07/12/2020 19:33

Ooh, Owl you might be onto something there! They're on the kitchen table atm so I'll have a look next time I get up. I could do that in no time!

I was going to make the same suggestion as IsFinnRogersDead, but I didn't know it had a name; thanks for that.
