Is anyone else waiting on one of the 12000 missing orders from John Lewis ?

I phoned John Lewis today to chase an order placed 2 weeks ago which has been saying for now nearly 2 weeks that it was despatched but that Royal Mail are still waiting for it

They won’t refund me or resend the item because it’s showing as despatched and they currently have 12000 items sat at the same stage which seem to have gone ‘temporarily’ missing

I’ve been told I have to wait for it and there’s no guarantee it will arrive before Christmas as the claims they are raising with Royal Mail take a while to process and only after that’s been done will they refund or resend an item

All seems a bit strange and a bit worrying so many are missing

Some people might not even realise they have issues with their orders yet

Luckily mine wasn’t a Christmas present so I shall just wait it out for now but this could be a problem for others

We got one today that was ordered on Thursday. That’s really bizarre, have you used social media as these usually get things moving!

not the same and no help at all, but according to my delivery driver a whole lorry of meat went missing en route to my local morrisons the other day, and they still havent found it.

I wonder if all these things are together somewhere!

Weird thing with John Lewis is I ordered multiple things. Most turned up. It’s just this random item that didn’t but they say a lot have gone missing and were not surprised

I’m a little surprised they just expect people to wait it out though

I ordered something on 20 November that still hadn’t arrived, so I reordered the same thing for collection to store which I’ve picked up. I called on Friday and got a refund for the missing items. It arrived today 🙄 so now I have to find a way to either return to store, or ring up to refund my refund. Absolute ball ache.

The Royal Mail website isn't reliable at the moment, they probably do have it tbh. Its been glitchy for weeks now

I had two separate packages for the same order, one turned up within five days, the other no sign of after two weeks, so they refunded me (it showed as dispatched but not received by Royal Mail). Two days later it turned up?!

This is how mine is, showing it’s dispatched but not received by Royal Mail , no change for a week and a half on that

So glad you started this thread - yes I'm in the same boat. I've had 2 items arrive but I'm waiting for the rest. The tracker says the courier has it, i was told it would arrive Saturday, then sunday... Nada so far

2by I struggled to order anything, so much was out of stock!

I’m a bit annoyed because I’ve spent so long on different phone calls now and get told different things such time

I even went to store yesterday but they couldn’t help as it was online order

First person; told me they would cancel the order and refund me if it still hadn’t shown up by now but person I spoke to today told me they would never be able to do that

Yes, I ordered some airpods last weekend, been showing as despatched since last Sunday but royal mail haven't received. I've been on live chat with them yesterday and they just said delivery can take up to 10 business days (so I guess 2 weeks). The other item I ordered came within 2 days. Will follow up next weekend if they don't turn up to see if I get a refund (then also the airpods) its not a present but I would like to receive them!!

Yes, I’m in the same boat. Royal Mail said the items had not reached them, and JL said the items had been dispatched. I called JL at the weekend and they said not to worry and to wait it out and the things will arrive.

I was told that a combination of the bricks and mortar shops being closed, and Black Friday, had caused delays in delivery, and that my items will be arriving.

I have had notification today from Royal Mail of two JL packages arriving tomorrow. This doesn’t clear all that they should be sending me, but it is something!

Total time from ordering to delivery for these items will be almost two weeks.

From now until Christmas I’ll be doing click and collect, can’t afford to have a two week wait at this stage!
