Christmas Tipping etiquette

Hi all. Do you tip your posties/binmen etc at Christmas?

Our postie is also our neighbour so we would typically give a card as neighbour, and we would normally tip the postie. I feel like it might just be a bit awkward to tip a neighbour?

No, they earn more than I do.

No. I have no clue whether my Christmas refuse collectors or postwoman have worked that route all year and I don't think it's a 'good service' situation where it would really be a tip.

Personally I think giving money to a neighbour is a little odd but I'm sure she wouldn't mind.

Yes. We give the binmen, the postman and the log boy an envelope. It’s not entirely altruistic. They always do excellent service and are happy to do extras that they are technically not meant to do.
