Device for 5 year old to play music

Hi, my 5 year old has asked for something to play his favourite music on (out loud) so he can dance. Can anyone recommend something suitable? I have looked at the Yoto boxes, do they offer this function as well as audiobooks? Thanks in advance

How about an Echo dot or Google home mini (depending on what music service you use)? You can set them up with parental controls on the app, and can stick whatever you/he likes on them.

Dd has one and loves it.

Hadn’t thought of those, do they have to use the ‘Alexa’ function?

I'd like to see any recommendations for these too.

DD(7) has a CD player but it works out quite pricey and she's managed to (accidentally) damage some of the CD's 🙄

The only things I've come across is a smart speaker but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with her having one of those in her room but good to know they have parental controls.
