Does anyone get a "good" sleep score on fitbit?

I hardly ever achieve the magic "80" and only seem to sleep between 6-7 hours. I'd like more but my body just doesn't seem to want to. Why is this? I have no trouble getting to sleep but always wake relatively early.
Does anyone actually ever get the good score?

I occasionally now get an 80 or an 81, maybe once a week. I never ever sleep 8 hours though. It does seem to be sleep quality rather than length that gets the score. I got it on Thursday this week, 7 hours asleep but it seems to be the 'double dip' into deep sleep that gets the high scores.
I tend to look at minutes of deep sleep as when I first got mine 2 years ago I was sometimes getting only 3-4 mins of deep sleep a night

I almost always get a "good" score for sleep on fitbit and rarely sleep more than 7 hrs. If I sleep a fair bit more than 7 then the score is "excellent" . Sometimes I sleep less than 6 hours and still get a "good" score. I think it's based on the quality of sleep as well as how much you are getting. I am a very heavy sleeper, I can sleep through pretty much anything. DH very rarely gets a good score but he's a light sleeper, wakes up at the slightest sound and gets very little deep sleep. If he goes to sleep 2 hours before me and both of us wake up at the same then I still get a higher sleep score than him.

I will usually get a good too, and have been known to get Excellent on occasion.

I tend to wake a few times, but only very briefly, and I'm an early bird so usually sleep 10-6 ish

I find that wearing my Fitbit makes my sleep worse, so now take it off - it was the screen coming on when I turned over that was the problem).
Never hit the good score during the week, but did occasionally at the weekend.

I get a good quite frequently, and agree with PP I think it’s to do with deep sleep. I shockingly got an excellent for the first time ever last week! No matter my score or time spent sleeping I always wake up feeling rubbish, though.

I’ve had two 91s this week! Usually in the high 70s or 80s. I think it’s quality of sleep and amount of sleep. One of my 91 scores was just over 8 hours and the other was half an hour longer. I am obsessed with my sleep score. Grin

Same as urbanmist, this is an example of heisenbergs uncertainty principle. When you measure something, the act of measuring will change what is being measured. I don’t like wearing a watch when I sleep, and the lighting up of the screen when I move my wrist wakes me. So by trying to measure my sleep quality, I affect that quality.

I’ve got a small baby so nope, never get a good score. Didn’t even know it went to excellent.

My husband actually bought me the watch since having the baby because he thought he was getting less sleep than me, shot himself in the foot there!

I got an 81 with just 6hrs 20mins on Wednesday and the day before the same with 6hrs 39mins but then I've had 9hrs 11mins and got 79!

I just checked and I got 86 last night probably because it's the weekend so not waking up thinking about work.. I was tired and I went to bed early. I wouldn't worry about it though 6-7 hours of sleep is fine

I switched it off because I felt less likely to sleep well knowing I was being monitored. I do wear it in bed though so I can see what time it is if I wake in the night (I'm too short-sighted to read my radio-alarm and don't want to pick up my phone). I don't need total darkness to sleep so the light doesn't wake me.

I stopped using mine as I don't think it was recording correctly. It kept saying only three to four hours sleep a night, and hardly any deep sleep.

I'll admit to being not a great sleeper and do have spells of sleep maintenance insomnia, but it seemed to bear no relation to how rested I felt when I woke.

I can’t find a sleep score on my dashboard, just hours slept and time spent in each stage. It’s a Charge 2 - do they all have this function?

I got a good and 74 for 6hrs 20.
I also got a fair and 71 for 4hr 23!

Mine is almost always in the 80’s (Good) and I had an Excellent recently. Its quite obvious really but I have noticed alcohol increases resting heart rate and brings the score down quite a bit (this is after 4 units).

This is utter nonsense.
Fitbit scoring ignores how I am regularly awake in middle of night for hours!!
I get a lot of deep sleep. Often > 16% of the total. Apparently 16% deep is the top of the expected range for my age. That doesn't make up for the insomnia or lack of REM.
