I am off my tits on morphine.
Fucking kidney stones... Pain has reduced but I can still feel it a bit.
At least I am not writhing about anymore!
I would rather give birth... at least you get something lovely to cuddle afterwards

Hi there, I’m sorry that you are in do much pain. I hope the morphine is helping.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/12/2020 07:08

I’ve just been diagnosed with a kidney stone, is this what I have to look forward to?

Glad you’re feeling better, and hope you stay that way.

It's manageable now - I have been in agony for three days pacing up and down like a caged lion.

I bet if you ask really nicely they'll pop 'em in a pot for you to take home and cherish Wink

I have had stones for over 10 yrs. I have had two other episodes of renal colic but I haven't needed A&E. pain usually controlled with voltarol suppositories.

This is the first time needing morphine

You poor thing. Pretty sure I had kidney stones a few years ago. Absolute agony and the only way to slightly reduce the pain was to pace around the house. Should have seen a doctor about it but I read about some of the treatments and got freaked out (yes, I’m an idiot). Found out later that it runs in my family.

Hope it’s sorted and you feel better soon.

bluetongue · 05/12/2020 07:16

Oh I see you’ve been doing the pacing thing Grin

Frownette · 05/12/2020 07:26

That sounds painful, chat away.

We can send you a virtual brandy? Treble?

Nannewnannew · 05/12/2020 07:50

Oh you poor thing, that must be so miserable, hope you get sorted very soon, there’s nothing worse than severe pain. Am thinking about you. I don’t know how you coped for 3 days.

InTheShadowOfTheMushroomCloud · 05/12/2020 09:23

Been for a CT scan and waiting for results.
Pain now 'period pain' level which is better than 'fucking bastard kill me' level.

We were going to put the tree up today and lights outside. I was really looking forward to it too.

What's everyone else's plans today?
