What are you getting your 9 yo boy for Xmas?

I’ve got one present for him from Santa - a Lego set. He doesn’t game, and he is still fairly “innocent.” He likes football, and has been really interested in every school topic recently: world war 1, titanic etc etc. I am at a loss, his present pile is nonexistent and on Christmas morning it’s going to be really noticeable next to his younger siblings. Some ideas please! Got a whoppee cushion on the list but other than that nada!

Lego klutz movie maker?

I have a 9 yr old dd and I am finding it really hard this year..its an odd in between age I think! Doesnt help matters that she has a birthday in November and had big presents for then! Apparently its all about baby Yoda this year from backpacks to stress balls!
for inspiration you might google..IWOOT....and notonthehighstreet...both have a good selection of random gifts that kids somehow love!

Another vote for the Phoenix magazine, it's fab!

Just ideas off the top of my head:

A scooter / bike / skateboard with a ramp or maybe Heeleys (sp?) if he doesn’t have one / them.
A new football / tricks / goals set / hover ball for stocking.
New shin pads / goalie gloves / football boots / favourite team water bottle / tracksuit.
Books on his interests, maybe an annual, Guinness, Ridleys etc.
Popcorn maker
Themed onesie / dressing up costume if he still does that.
Hamper of his favourite sweets
Alarm clock / print / cushions for his room in whatever he likes (my ds liked gaming so has Fortnite etc)
Board game
National Geographic do some nice educational type toys which might feed in to his interests.
Any tech he might like? (mine have Apple pencils for doing their school work on their iPads)

DS is getting a new scooter and a remote control car. He loves Beano comics so I bought him the new one and loads of second hand old ones from World of Books which is super cheap.

Family members have bought him Lego and we bought junior Catan as a family present. HTH xx

There are loads of good fact books around.... Ripleys believe it or not, the nat geo infopedia and what’s weird on earth all go down well here. But if he’s into Lego maybe just lean into that..... has he seen the mandolorian? Dark sabre/baby Yoda plush/mando Lego? You can get some really cool lighting sets for lego builds. Does he actually play with the Lego after building it? If so maybe stop motion photography stuff? Or if it’s the building perhaps he’ll like gravitrax, k’nex, or maybe snap circuits?
