What do people use? At the moment everything smells and tastes of Dettol.

What have you been putting dettol on?
What do you need to disinfect?

I don't disinfect anything in the house. You just wash your hands in hot soapy water immediately coming in from somewhere (and I use hand santiser before getting back in the car from anywhere anyway). Unless you have builders in or a lot of traffic (carers, etc.) there is no reason to disinfect anything inside your house. That said, if I do need to disinfect anything (shopping trolley handles), I have a pack of clinnell wipes in the car. They're clinical grade, better than anything you can buy in the shops, and they smell really nice.

Nothing. Just super stringent on hand washing. We don't have any dettol.

For the kitchen counters, I clean with Jif cream stuff, then rinse off and use a Zoflora knock-off from B&M in a spray bottle for a wipe down.

Bleach in the loo.

That's it!
