Weekend Plans?

Anyone up to much? I’ve got a day off today as DD11 is full of cold. Off to Asda whilst DH is home for lunch. We have salmon in sweet chilli sauce, rice & broccoli for tea. Looking forward to I’m A Celeb final. I would like Giovanna to win but reckon it will probably be Jordan. Really liked Vernon too & never wanted Shane to be King of the Castle. Working tomorrow afternoon then we will have Chinese. Planned to have it yesterday for my birthday but I was feeling ill 😥 Hoping the place we’ve chosen does duck in plum sauce. Not sure what’s happening on Sunday yet. Probably wrapping pressies, writing cards etc.

Dd1 desperately needs a new coat so will need to go out for that. She’s very petite so it’s best to try and buy. Dreading the crowds though 😬. No other plans as yet apart from the usual weekend chores.

I am a Guide leader and DDs do Rainbows and Brownies, and Guiding locally is running an online virtual sleepover tomorrow into Sunday. There isn't a huge amount of structure to it with just a couple of set timings and a list of suggested festive activities and the expectation that you sleep somewhere different in your house to usual, so I am mostly fitting planned activities into it e.g making mince pies, some Christmas crafts, making Christmas cards for grandparents etc, maybe go out in the evening to look at other people's Christmas lights, maybe make some sort of den to sleep in but DDs think they are sleeping in my bed and I can sleep in one of theirs. On Sunday we are putting up our Christmas tree, and we need to do a lot of tidying up first. DDs will also have homework to do. Traditionally, we eat a take-away pizza on the day we put up our tree. I think this tradition started because the tree took so long that we didn't have time to cook dinner! I need to start buying presents, as I have bought nothing for anyone except DDs' Santa presents (in our house Santa just brings stocking fillers). We might watch the film of Where the Wild Things Are, as DD2 has been doing that at school (mostly at home with me as the class was self-isolating as COVID contacts until yesterday). Meanwhile, I am trying to drag myself through the breakdown of my marriage and my mental health.

Had a nice day today having a massage and nails done with a voucher i got for my birthday before last lockdown. Kids have got swimming and gymnastics tonight and I also want to watch I'm a celeb final . I'm rooting for Giovanna but also like Jordan.
Tomorrow DD2 had last dance classes of term on zoom which she gets to wear fancy dress for. Then we are off to zoo where they have Christmas trails.
Sunday we are going to see some local Christmas lights where Father Christmas will be outside the house apparently.
