I have the sweetest MIL who gives without wanting anything in return. She's helped out with our son a bit more since I fell pregnant and I wasn't well and I wanted to get her something. I got her a bunch of Freddie's flowers 3x but I feel like it's getting old, in the meantime I have also realised to shop local and it's best to support small businesses.

I am very happy to support any small business, best if they deliver as I want it to be a surprise and we don't go to their house at the moment given that we're not allowed to.

Do you know any small businesses and have any suggestions what I could send her or have you received anything from a friend / sister/ daughter in law that you loved?

She's a very modest person.

A lovely scented candle or tealight holder always goes down well. There's a website called Not On The High Street that has small businesses on. Lots of different hand made items.
