My dad wants to get me a treat for Christmas, but I don't know what to ask for - help!

It's been a tough year for our family (in addition to living with Covid, which has definitely made it harder!) and I've helped my Dad out a lot. He says he really wants to get me something special for Christmas because of this, and wants me to choose something, but I'm a bit stumped.

He suggested maybe a nice coat or nice clothes. I don't usually spend a huge amount on clothes and something special would be really nice. We're not talking a massive amount of money - maybe between £100 and £200 - but something that would last and be something I could use a lot. Does anyone have any suggestions?!

How about a nice pair of leather ankle boots? They will last for years if you look after them well/get them re-heeled as necessary. The fashion doesn't change as much as with coats or other clothes.

Ooh, that’s an interesting idea. Any brands you’d recommend?

I've had this particular pair for ages and they go with a lot of outfits:

Jones the Bootmaker tends to stock good brands too and towards the lower end of the budget.
