Anyone bought anything from Turtle Doves?

Recycled cashmere gloves, scarves etc. www.turtle-doves.co.uk/

They look like a lovely Christmas present for one of my relatives but it’s always hard to tell without seeing in person first! Does anyone own any?

Thanks!

Both myself and my mum have their fingerless gloves and they are lovely.

Yes, have bought several things - for me and as presents. Would recommend

I ordered some yesterday as it is freezing at work in the office (windows open). Can’t wait for them to arrive and hoping they are worth it!

Gazelda · 03/12/2020 17:39

Absolutely gorgeous! Really good quality, packaged as a gift too.

I bought some of the wristwarmers last year, and love them. Moths have got to them, though, so I might “need” to buy more while continuing to use the moth-eaten ones as well

Sexnotgender · 03/12/2020 17:43

Yes I’ve got the wrist warmers plus a head band and snood thing. Highly recommend.

The fingerless gloves are lovely. I appreciate not cheap but I think they are a great UK small business and don't expect to pay China-import prices. I wear mine every chilly day whilst home working at the moment.

Yes, I've got some of the wristwarmers, they are great for in between weather when it's chilly but not cold enough for full gloves, working by a window or at home etc. However they do make my skin itch (wool does too, I thought cashmere might be better but it's not). No use outdoors on properly cold days either, my fingers freeze in them.

Lovely quality - I have some wristwarmers, and bought my MIL some for Christmas after seeing them. She was really pleased too.

Goldensnitchy · 03/12/2020 17:53

Thank you everyone!! Now I’m worried others will flock to the site and things will sell out before I’ve had a chance Grin (I’ve had bad luck with that in the last few days!)

Any other recommendations of gifts for someone who gets very cold?

Yes, I love em, bought some for DM & DSD a few years back

WisestIsShe · 03/12/2020 17:56

I'd recommend sheepskin slippers (in Aldi next week£15) or a heated throw for someone who really feels the cold. I have both and love them!

Justmuddlingalong · 03/12/2020 17:56

Black Yak do fleece lined wrist warmers. I'm waiting on a pair arriving. I've already got fleece lined mittens from them so can vouch for the cosiness and quality.

I have a couple of pairs of wrist warmers...send them old cashmere and they send you a pair for postage. I had an old felted cashmere jumper that I sent off to them
