This is possibly the most exciting thing that has happened to me all year. I had annual leave booked for 2 weeks over the Christmas holidays with DH and DC, but at work they just announced that everyone can have that time off for free, without having to use annual leave. I cannot carry over or encash my leave days, so I will have to take them instead from next week, meaning I now have 3.5 weeks off! The first 7 working days being totally alone, no DH, no DC!! Bliss!!
The last time I had a day to myself, with no jobs or anything to do, must have been when I started maternity leave before DC2. There are no jobs that need doing in the house, as everything was fixed and tidied for putting the house on the market last week and it's already in show home condition for viewings. I'm also in tier 3 so can't do anything fun and will mostly be at home. How would you spend this lovely free time?
