When did you last use a corkscrew?

I've just bought a few bottles of wine that actually have a proper, old fashioned cork but these seem to be getting rarer. Screw caps are all very well but I prefer cork.

Rarely because I can't do it and always have to get DP to help. I really should only buy screw top.

It's no longer an indication of poor quality or cheaper wine and I think one of the biggest barriers is that in some countries the cork production industry is understandably fearing losing their livelihoods, although I do try to do my bit by usually buying cava, as that comes with a real cork.

Friday. Most of my wine has corks - not because it's expensive but because I'm buying most of my wine from a Spanish wine merchant and most of what he sells has corks.

At the weekend, our favourite wine comes with a cork.

I have a waiter's friend type corkscrew. It needs a little technique to use it effectively, which I hope I shall remember when I need it.
