Posters on mumsnet are always telling people to log a behaviour or an incident with the police. Is this actually a thing in real life? An op was being told to log someone smiling at their kids the other day.
If the person is a known criminal I can imagine they do keep records or for actual crimes. But surely not for random incidents.
