Debenhams: have you been a me to buy anything?

I’ve given up!

Tried so many times and never made it last the homepage once I was on.... there was even a queue at 6am when I got up!

Just curious to see if this is just bad luck - somebody just have made it on!

What did you get?

I have, only because I was woken up at 4am and logged in then, got through no problem. Maybe try overnight?

Nope. I got onto the site (which looked pretty dated), didn't see anything I wanted, went aimlessly into the beauty section since I was there, couldn't put anything in my basket, was thrown out of the site three minutes later. Couldn't be bothered to queue up again.

Which is pretty much the Debenhams experience for me at the best of times.

I stocked up on bras as I like their Gorgeous range, plus pyjamas and a cashmere jumper that was half price.

I think their site is one of the better ones to navigate.. I liked Debenhams, will be sad to see it go. I am running out of physical shops to visit on my high street now.

Made it on but discounts no different to yesterday and every time I clicked on something I got kicked out and had to queue again

I’ve managed to connect after a queue of 10-15 mins but most of the clothes were full price so haven’t bought anything

I've made it onto the site a few times but there is no 70% "fire sale."

It's just their normal Black Friday/Christmas discounts.

I had a look last night, queue was about 10 minutes but took longer.

Complete waste of time.

Fuck all I wanted except a duvet set that is now more expensive than it was over the weekend.

Couldn't see any real sale. The website is just as shit as their shops unfortunately too.

if you pay with credit card and it's over £100 you can claim it via their insurance

I’ve been on

It’s 100% not a fire sale
Lots of clothing still at full price

Looked at beauty gift sets all still full price
Perfume sets and perfume I like still full price

Looked at Dior make up only 15% discount which is a normal discount for promo weekends etc

No discounts on any Gorgeous range lingerie

Pyjamas were £22 now down to £17 , to be honest that’s still too expensive for my budget , I’ll stick to supermarket or Primark PJS

Logged out with nothing

Website was working fine for me to browse but I waited 45 mins in a queue to get on in the first place .

Gosh, only one person has struck a bargain - wow - I feel better though knowing that there weren’t really any bargains to be missed! Bit jealous of the cashmere though Grin

I got on after 15 mins of waiting. I can confirm it was not a 70% off clearance sale. I did buy some nice towels which were half price but very little else seemed to be discounted.

There was some perfume I wanted but was the usual price as were the Fly London boots I was hoping to treat myself with. If you couldn't get on you've not missed anything (unless you're desperate for towels!)

I got onto the site, I wanted a specific perfume but there was no discount on the one I wanted so left it.

Got on OK but most of the discounts were far less than the trumpeted 70% and O didn't see anything I wanted to buy.

In fact I don;t think I saw anything discounted by more than 30%

In case anybody’s interested I got on there at 3am after my husband stole the duvet 🙄

There’s loads of regatta sports stuff still left at 70%’off so that’s definitely worth it also footwear

Lots of fascinators if that’s your bag. Weirdly a bit sad given we all know with nobody really needed any this year

Perfumes are like only a tenner off so don’t bother with that

TBH I wouldn't want to buy anything online from there right now - I suspect a lot of people will be left without their orders and their money.

Yes, you can chargeback via a credit card but last time I had this issue (with Homebase) it took six weeks for the bank to even acknowledge my request Hmm

I got on but it crashed when I went to pay. Tried again yesterday afternoon, I only wanted two nursing bras that were half price (£10 each!) and they were still there so managed to order. Had a brief look around but nothing else I needed.

Someone I know queued to go in store only to find nothing on sale!

I love debenhams and usually buy both instore and online quite a lot. I did check the website yesterday but had found that some of the priced had actually gone up not down. I did not find any bargains to be had.
