Wedding witnesses needed - Oxford

I've name-changed for obvious reasons but have been a member of MN for a long time and have seen a few of these posts over the years.

DP and I are getting married next Thursday 10th December, 11:30 in the register office in Oxford. It's a secret wedding with just us and our 9 year old, and we desperately need two witnesses.

Would anyone be free that day and be willing to help out? It will be pretty casual and low key so no smart outfits required, and due to COVID it will be a very short ceremony with the absolute legal minimum vows, no music or rings so it sounds like we will be in and out very quickly. Willing to provide a bottle of champagne or something to say thank you!

I was a witness for a MN wedding a few years ago. It was such a lovely event. I hope someone can help.

DH and I would be happy to help if you want to DM me? we live in Oxford and we recently almost did the same ourselves but ended up getting married elsewhere, in August!

Just wanted to add that there is no minimum age for a witness, the only requirement is that the person witnessing understands what they are doing. So your little girl could be a witness for you if you wanted her to be.

Thank you everyone I might be persuaded to post a photo but I doubt it'll look very wedding-y! I haven't even thought about what I'm going to wear yet but it definitely won't be a wedding dress!

They have said witnesses have to be over 16, maybe it's just their policy at the register office

We got married in October and there was a age requirement for witnesses for us also.
