I have a 7 month old boy whos not feeding great. Well i think so anyway! He has a bottle around 7ish when he wakes up. I always make a 7oz bottle but sometimes its a struggle to get him to have it. He will have the first 3-4 ounces great then he's kicking and fighting sometimes i just have to give up... then 3-4 hours later he will have porridge which he will eat and the rest of his milk which he sometimes will or wont finish... then 3-4 hours later he will have a meal which he does great with but its a struggle for me to get him to have any water or juice will only have 1 oz at the most. About 4 hours later he will have a bottle of milk another fight with him. Then sometimes he will have another bottle before bed but he will go to bed about 9ish and sleep till 7am and sometimes wont have a bottle if he would be due after 9pm. Im worried he isnt having enough milk intake. Hes not cut any teeth yet so im wondering if hes teething. Im going out of my mind. Trying to get in touch with a HV in the midst of covid is a nightmare no one as been in touch since hes been 6weeks old. I brought my own scales to weigh him and hes gaining weight hes 16lbs 13oz if ive got it correct. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this. Im a first time mom and feel so alone and dont know where to turn 😭 please help

If I am reading your post correctly op, he's happily drinking about 15oz of milk and two good meals, gaining weight and sleeping through the night. I also imagine he's happy, alert and reaching milestones as well as doing wees and poos regularly.

I think the only thing you need to do is stop worrying and stop trying to force milk down him. If he wants or needs it, he'll drink it.

And take a deep breath and don’t panic!

Your son isn’t going to starve himself, provide milk, food etc and he will eat and drink.

How are you giving him his water? Sippy cup? He will be becoming more independent so provide him with things he can do himself.

Most importantly are his nappies wet / dirty regularly - this will tell you if he is having enough.

You say he is putting on weight then he is doing fine.

Take a deep breath and try not to stress about itFlowers
