Please talk to me about weighed blankets

Should I buy one? My sleep patterns have been awful for years. Getting better just recently but I still feel like I have a series of short naps rather than a good, long deep sleep. I can't remember when I last slept through the night without waking.

For those of you who use weighted blankets, have they helped you to sleep better? Lots of reviews online talk about them being a complete game changer, which if true makes them worth the money I'm trying to justify spending.

Any recommendations for particular brands would also be great.

Thanks!

I LOVE mine. I am not sure that it helps with night time waking, but I definitely feel I sleep more deeply amd get off to sleep more easily. And its just so comforting and comfortable. Getting into bed and snuggling down is such a pleasure. I got this one www.amazon.co.uk/Highams-Weighted-Blanket-Teenagers-Insomnia/dp/B07XXPGFXT/ref=asc_df_B085HYC6S4/?hvlocphy=9045879&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=430943459483&hvpone&hvlocint&ref&th=1&hvpos&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-898213340610&hvrand=7614875830218668160&adgrpid=97419448062

I love mine. I'm a really light sleeper and used to wake up several times a night and struggle to fall asleep again. My weighted blanket has made so much difference, I fall asleep much faster and only wake a couple of times (if at all). The only problem is I never want to get out of bed in the morning because I'm too cosy!

Thankyou...after another dodgy night's sleep last night I'm going to order one today.
