I was falsely accused of a crime by someone frustrated with lockdown and needing a punchbag.

You?

I really want to visit my parents' graves down in Cornwall. It's a 750 mile 14 hour round trip. I have DC/cats that need me. I can't seem to find a time when I can go.

I posted a note through all the neighbours' doors, volunteering to help with shopping if needed.

One neighbour began to bombard me with calls, visits and presents. He wanted to know the date of my children's birthdays and their names. It became creepy.
I had to block his number and DH told him to leave us alone.

I was long convinced that I was spending too much time in the pub, drinking to excess, and that it was detrimental to my mental health and the primary cause of my gradual weight gain.

Since the pubs have closed, I've drunk virtually no alcohol, I'm more miserable than at any time in the past 10 years, and my weight has increased at a far faster rate than when I was swilling beer three times a week.

I can't wait for the pubs to reopen so I can go and get hammered, get back to drinking 4 times my recommended weekly limit, and resume enjoying all the mental and physical health benefits of excess alcohol consumption.

I very nearly bought a boat but that week the first lockdown happened and all the boat yards and surveyors stopped working so we couldn't find one. We didn't know how long it would take so we had to renew the lease on this house for another year. The boat market has gone a bit bonkers so we're holding off for a bit and finding another rental in the meantime instead.

We have paid for the National Trust membership for the year but have not been able to get to any since March.
We used to love our last minute exploring locally or planning a camping holiday around it.
Now you have to plan your visits at least a week in advance or you don’t get a ticket to visit.

My baby is 8 months old, can crawl now and has still never met most of the people we know. She's been in a few restaurants with us but only inside 2 other houses. Never inside our church. Never been out with us as a family, inside somewhere that's not a supermarket or those couple of other houses and restaurants.

I live abroad and have recently got to some some fellow Brits who are also living over here. Wanted to see more of them as a group, lunch, coffees, etc but it seems covid has scuppered that.
