I have pcos and don't have periods often. I've been having cramping all day and the most horrific back pain, pretty certain period is on it's way. I've had paracetamol and ibuprofen, had a long hot bath and got hot water bottle but nothing is easing it. Tmi but had some diarrhoea too so wondering if it's a bug too. Urgh

Buscopan can help with the cramps and diarrhoea.

I know how you feel. I have the mirena but occasionally get horrific cramps, luckily they no longer end in a horrific period.

I always find hot water bottle better than painkillers, so can't advise, but I do sympathise. I have had my hot water bottle strapped to me for 3 days now.

The cramps ease off then come back. Feel like there is loads of pressure too.

I prefer heat patches to a hot water bottle because you obviously have them stuck on you when you get up.

Cocodamol or nurofen plus? (I.e. with codeine in)? Just a couple od doses over the next 24 hour might help (after the correct amount of time has elapsed since you last took painkillers)

Naproxen helps mine.

The codeine will help stop the diarrhea too.... (although if it is a bug it might be better to let it all out, as it were.)

I've just had another bath and nothing is helping. It's getting worse. Can't concentrate on anything. Period hasn't even started yet just some pinky discharge. This the first one since February
