Morning, we're looking to move to Devon and have two extremely high achieving children, academically, musically and sporting. We are worried that West Buckland may not be able to push them on the academic side - any help/advice gratefully received. Smile

hi Gatita, my two daughters go to West Buckland and we're very happy with the level of academia. There are lots of students that go onto top universities, with some applying for Oxbridge. There's plenty of academic extension available. The sports facilities are amazing and plenty of kids play at county or above level - the tennis programme is really popular. I think a couple of students each year get into music conservatoires / top music colleges so it's definitely a school worth considering if you are looking to move to the area. I think it's top for A level results in the area, but not sure about that. I can tell you that my kids are happy, fulfilled, never bored and love school.

Hello ClaHel,
Really interested to hear that your kids are 'happy, fulfilled...' we are moving to Devon but not sure where to go and West Buckland has been recommended. I've had 2 older children go through school already and I am VERY keen that our youngest is happy and busy.
What is the area like for teens? Concerned we might be too far from Exeter and teens might find it hard to make the transition (currently just outside of Oxford - so they are use to having a big city 20 mins away).
