Lenovo laptop not playing DVDs?

Please help. I was about to buy a portable dvd player but that’s ridiculous - the laptop should play the dvd? Thanks!

Depends if it has a disc drive
Some games consoles play dvds as we play them through our ps4

On the side of the cd/dvd slot is says DVD multi?

It won't be the laptop, Microsoft has removed the built-in support for video DVD playing in Windows 10.
You can buy the Microsoft Windows DVD Player, or download one of the free ones.

OMG the power of MN - it just started playing?! Via Power DVD whatever that is. I did download something last night but it was late I was on so not sure if it was that.
