Obsessed with buying makeup!

I don't need anymore. I have loads!

But I have just seen an offer in boots that you spend £20 and get a free £40 of makeup.

Now I am itching to go and buy things I don't need!

This has only really become a thing since lockdown. Before that I wasn't too bothered. Had the basics. But started watching videos in lockdown on how to do certain things and now I keep buying!

Anyone else like this?

Ive always been into make up and have a LOT. However in my experience those Boots deals are products that are crap. I just had a look and while its worth £40 the makeup isn't great. Ive got those deals before and can say hand on heart ive rarely if ever use the freebies. They're usually freebies for a reason.

Dont spend £20 on things you don't need just for something free. Save your money.

Im not a brand snob or anything btw. I just think you could probably get those products for cheaper than £40 in other places.

Thank you! That's the kind of reasoning I need to put me off!

I need nothing!

The nail varnish and Bath bomb are nice but apart from that nothing else excites me.
I'm obsessed with make up and have been really splashing out since covid, it's a, comfort thing for me, I'm feeling shit and make up cheers me up, also its like a hope thing, I buy a new lipstick in the hope of getting to wear it once the pubs and cafes are open!

I’m obsessed with lipsticks mainly. I probably have at least 10 that are the exact same shade 😳 I need to be told to stop too.

@H1978 stop it!!

Last week I had to buy a bigger case for all mine. I got one of those big boxes and I love it. I think it is fuelling it more though.

I have a lot of different make up. I tend to go for the urban decay, Mac, smash box, Jeffrey Star, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Bobbi brown etc.

I buy a lot too but I love it and the more expensive brands IMO are better than high street names.

But I wouldn't spend £20 just to get £40 worth of stuff 'free' because it's probably a load of shite you could get cheaper elsewhere.

I have 2 chest of drawers plus a box in the livingroom (best light there for doing my makeup) full of makeup!

I think you are buying into the idea that the next purchase would make you beautiful the way the model/influencer's professionally shot and edited video is. Be good to think of them as people who are there to sell you stuff and take your money.
