Too much sugar makes me emotional

Wondering if sugar affects anyone else this way. I didn't have a sweet tooth at all until a few years ago but I eat far too much of it these days. Today I over did the sugar again. Had a big cooked breakfast, fairly soon afterwards I had about half a large bar of chocolate then in the afternoon I had a cappuccino and a fairly huge toffee muffin. I feel bloated of course but I also find I get a bit tearful when I have had lots of sugar.

I am planning on cutting down a lot as I obviously do not enjoy the after effects and to be honest I don't really enjoy that much sugar, I tend to eat out of habit / boredom.

Sounds like my mum. She can't have too much sugar or it's a full on crying session.
Mars Bars are the worst. She absolutely loves them, but ends up sobbing after eating one.
Quite odd, but thankfully doesn't run in the family! Wink

@Itis6oclocksomewhere - good to know I'm not entirely alone! It's definitely a bit weird. My real trigger seems to be cake specially muffins! There's an easy solution obviously so will definitely be cutting way back.
