My DD is a competitive swimmer so have been reading up on pools. Basically if you lane swim, don't get close to anyone in the water and don't use the showers or changing rooms, the risk is minimal. Chlorine in the pool means the pool itself is fairly safe.

I swam when the pools reopened and will start again on Wednesday! I'm not vulnerable but am now pregnant.

You're not going to catch it in the pool and gym I use are kept so clean and people are sensible.

Gyms/pools have an extremely low transmission rate. I wouldn't think twice about going back.

At my local pool you have to arrive and leave ready to swim, there's a one way system where you go in through one changing room and out through the other, the hand and hair dryers are switched off and every other toilet cubicle is changed. The sauna, steam rooms and spa are closed, not that anybody would be daft enough to use them I hope.

Our local pools are not reopening but if they were, I would.

I have been swimming and my GP knows I have been swimming so I don't think it's a problem. I was swimming outside though and not using changing facilities etc.
