We are in tier 3 too. Yet more walking i think Sad

Itstartedinbarcelona · 29/11/2020 11:33

We are tier 3 too, but we’ve booked Elf at the drive through cinema. Can’t wait. We are planning a warm picnic.

happylittlechick · 29/11/2020 11:33

We have a Christmas light trail booked at a zoo but since we are tier 3 I don't know if it's going to go ahead.

Figgygal · 29/11/2020 11:34

Nope tier 3 and no options really.
Local Christmas lights and the normal outdoor venues we go to but nothing “Christmassy”

Had something booked in a tier 2 area which now can’t/shouldn’t/won’t go to

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/11/2020 11:35

Tier 3. Our local Christmas market is still on, we are also going to an outdoor Santa experience and a light show at the local park, they've all been given the go ahead.

Ginfordinner · 29/11/2020 11:51

Is this YWP? They are still planning to open.
Monkeytapper · 29/11/2020 11:54

We are going to GO APE, tree top climbing, zip wires etc. All outdoors and limited people so safe and fun.

gingajewel · 29/11/2020 11:56

We were booked to see Santa but we are in tier three so it’s been cancelled, I have managed to find a Santa at a local farm. We normally do a few trips, Ice skating, cinema and bowling but none of them can happen this year!

WanderingMilly · 29/11/2020 11:57

My family are all adult but yes, we're going Christmas shopping, going to two different evening light trails and one outdoor Christmas market. And yes, we're Tier 3 but everything outdoors has permission to go ahead.
I have also asked for Christmas carol service tickets for the local cathedral (they're doing a "ticket draw" this year!!) and we'll probably go to a zoo as well. I'm fed up with all the bloody restrictions and want to be out and about, so we'll do as much as is legally allowed.

Viv0321 · 29/11/2020 12:07

Sorry for everyone that can’t go

Is there anyone in West or South Yorkshire on here who can say if there are any Christmas markets open?

Monkeytapper · 29/11/2020 12:33

@Ginfordinner I’m in Leeds and from what I gather no Xmas markets on.

AcornAutumn · 29/11/2020 12:35

OP you’ve made a few threads on this

Is something worrying you? What Tier are you in? There’s definitely risk of cancellations.

Ginfordinner · 29/11/2020 12:35

I know the Leeds one is cancelled, so is Sheffield.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/11/2020 12:40

@Ginfordinner not south Yorkshire but I'm in Nottingham which isn't a million miles away and our Christmas market is going ahead, the council posted about it.

Monkeytapper · 29/11/2020 12:41

@Ginfordinner I can’t see any being on, majority of West and South Yorkshire are in tier 3, York is in tier 2 but their Xmas market is cancelled too.

Brunt0n · 29/11/2020 12:48

We are in Tier 2. We have Santa booked at Dobbies next weekend, a breakfast with Santa at our local Harvester and for the first year our town is doing an outdoor ‘twilight trail’ so we are going to that too one evening. We’ve already been to a Christmas tree farm to buy a wreath and take pics for our Christmas cards. DD is 2 and this is the first year she’s really into it!

Emmacb82 · 29/11/2020 13:04

We only had one thing booked which has now been cancelled due to being in tier 3. Completely expected but a little gutting at the same time! People can wander round the shops but my 4 year old can’t see Father Christmas at a distance inside the same place as the shops!

Tomcullenisahero · 29/11/2020 13:06

We've tickets to see a Christmas film at a drive in cinema.

Christmastime4 · 29/11/2020 14:17

Sounds nice

Christmastime4 · 29/11/2020 14:18

*to be able to go. There’s not much here
