Have we had a 'show me your Christmas tree' thread yet?

Yes it's only November but this year it doesn't count.

We are having Christmas tree decoration issues and I need some ideas on how to make it look better.

Please show me your trees if they are already up.

Ours is up; we went for everything with sparkle, out of the decoration boxes, this year plus some sweetie decs and dd2 has appointed herself in charge of the lights. They're currently alternating between red/orange & blue/green, and doing my head in a bit.

It's definitely not magazine worthy, but the girls have had fun putting it up this afternoon

Mine has been up for a week. Not the best in the world, but I love it, and it makes me feel all Christmassy.

Ours went up today.

Thanks have you both used tinsel? I ditched tinsel a few years ago because I never managed to make to look any good, but both your trees look nice.

(I am looking in the dark though while I settle the toddler, so may not be tinsel I can see?)

Yep, we have tinsel! Rose gold and navy this year (carefully chosen by the girls from a box full of the stuff in assorted colours).

I think it needs something to fill it up a bit more but can't decide what.

I have silver tinsel on mine. It makes the lights look really pretty. I put the tinsel on first then lights, then everything else.

Op we did no tinsel on the tree, went back to tinsel... Gotta have tinsel somewhere on the tree, I usually do it around the base, and on the trunk.
