Hello there,
I'm worrying about my baby but not sure if I'm being silly.
About 2 weeks ago I had a scan and nurses said they were worried baby wasnt in enough fluid and sent me to consultant..
Consultant said he wasnt worried, 400ml of fluid was enough but still got sent for a Sweep 20th, another 23rd and another 27th Nov where my waters burst on the bed there and then.
5.12am thismorning I started getting mild contractions, they are now becoming more frequent and stronger. Every 4-5 mins lasting 1.30mins each.
Called midwife and shes suggesting I stay home for a few more hours but I cant help but worry.
What do you think? X

First labours are often slow, so I can see where midwife is coming from. Bu that does not stop you from explaining to her that you feel anxious about this and seeking reassurance or an earlier admission. Good luck! Look forward to hearing of a safe arrival! Smile

It's your first bub. They always make you wait. Early labour takes forever!!!!!! (Thanks DC2 -unless youre me and it takes 4.5 hours thanks dc1). 400ml of liquor is fine. Keep walking around if you can. Get on your ball if you have one. Take a paracetemol if you want.

I had the baby, he was safe, 8lbs 10oz, 57cm long, absolutely beautiful.
He didnt have an infection thank god.
My waters went Friday 3PM, I gave birth Sunday 23.30pm.
It was long labour but worth every single second, I have never felt love like it, I love being a mummy. Xxx
