Boring question - how do you descale kettle spout?

Just that, really! Descaling kettle but the spout bit & lid are bad. How do I descale those?! 🤔

Mix bicarb and vinegar into a mush and scoop it up with kitchen towel. Smear the paste over the spout and plug it with the soaked kitchen towel. Leave for a couple of hours and rinse well.

I'm sure I've seen people soak a cotton pad in white vinegar and leave it on the spout to descale.

I soak kitchen roll in white vinegar and wrap it around spout You can also twist it inside the spout.. Also works for taps
