Old wives/essential oils/otc from pharmacy: whatever works!!!!

It’s a nasty looking but small wart on her fingertip.

Getting it frozen off. You can have this done privately.

DS2 had a nasty poking one in his finger. We bought wartner, and kept it covered with a fabric plaster, which we only took off to file it down. It has gone now - the root bit just fell off in the end

My DD had one at similar age - not sure where I heard it but I painted it with clear nail varnish and it worked! Took a few weeks I seem to remember and I was amazed. Don't ask about the science as I haven't a clue but it didn't come back.

I’ve used thuja oil for son’s wart and a verruca.

Cuplex verucca treatment and frequent filing with an Emery board.

I used to get warts on my fingers quite often when I was younger. One annoyed me as was rubbing and getting sore, so I taped a fabric plaster firmly around it, tight enough to keep the air out but obviously not so tight to cut off circulation. Kept it on for probably 10 days to a fortnight only replacing the plaster when it got a bit grubby. Wart softened and disappeared without needing anything else done.

I was so surprised at how easily it went and wondered why I'd never tried it before. Was quite disappointed that I didn't get any more warts to do it again since then!!

Thanks everyone!

Just discovered a verruca on the side of her foot too so it’s obv something she’s picked up.

Will try and see what works. I’m bizarrely pessimistic as I had a wart a few years ago that took literally years to go and nothing worked. Hopefully her immune system is better (younger!) than mine!

Duct tape - don't know why it works but it does

Gizmo79 · 28/11/2020 20:26

My son ended up with loads for some reason, luckily, despite being completely resistant to being frozen off... they fell off by them selves after around 6 months and he is now beautifully wart free and it is a pleasure to hold hands again🤣🤣

Salicylic acid, you can get it from the pharmacy and in OTC products like Salactol. You paint it on 1-2 times a day and it kills it in a couple of weeks.
