Any chance of Hermes parcel turning up?

Bought something off Depop that I’d been after for ages, it was collected from the seller nearly two weeks ago but there’s been no tracking updates since. It’s stuck on “we’ve got it”. Depop are apparently looking into it with Hermes but I’m pretty sure it’s lost.

Has this happened to anyone and it still turned up? This was my birthday present to myself and I’m gutted!

I had similar not long ago but from a private seller. Tracking was stuck on we’ve got it for about 10 days and then changed to parcel being returned to sender. It stayed like that for about another 10 days then when the seller filled in a claim form they magically found it and delivered it to me the next day. I wouldn’t completely give up on it arriving but keep chasing depop to do something about it.

My DP had this last week. The tracking kept saying they had it but after about 11 days it eventually updated to out for delivery and he got it that day. I find they are either really fast or a nightmare with no in between

The worst thing is there’s absolutely no way to speak to a human! The phone line is automated and the website says just to go back to the sender. So frustrating!!

I had a parcel from an American company that disappeared. The seller sent a replacement after about 6 weeks. It bizarrely turned up with the postman a couple of days later.

I had one that went missing for a couple of months before turning up. In the meantime, I had received a replacement.

If you go back to the sender they can obtain further tracking information which isn't available to the customer. In my case, they were able to tell that Hermes had sent the parcel to a depot over 100 miles away, even although it had been addressed correctly.

I believe you should be told who the parcel company being used for any online order is, before you purchase anything. I expect Hermes would be out of business or have to up its game fairly quickly if that happened.

Well there’s still no update on the tracking, it’s still stuck on “we’ve got it” so my hope is fading fast!

Complain to the retailer. It’s them you have a contract with. Hopefully they will send a new item.

I had this on a parcel I paid extra for next day delivery. Stuck on we've got it for ages.

I was convinced it was lost. So ordered a replacement as it was something likely to go out of stock.

It arrived about 8 days later. So I just returned it for a refund. If I'd have known the courier was Hermes I wouldn't have bothered ordering from them in the first place, let alone paying extra for fast delivery.

I had a parcel which got stuck on "delayed for 24 hours", the seller said Hermes had told them there was a problem with the address, but when they checked my original order, it was fine. Apparently a replacement has been sent out, but I haven't yet had any tracking info, so I'm not holding out much hope.

How do you get this info?!

I sent a family member their bday and Christmas gifts and chose Next Day delivery. We are now Day 4 and it's stuck on "We've Got it" and even though I'm the sender I cannot find any information to help me! I've filled out an automated enquiry which takes 3-4 days to get a response but that's it. I cannot even find a full summary of my order and all the extras I added to it (like signature etc). So frustrating and I cannot afford to replace the items until Hermes reimburse me which I'm guessing will be a slow process too.
