My lovely dad is in ICU after a bad stroke. Looking like he won’t pull through. My lovely mum died a few years ago. Both in their sixties.

Am trying to be strong for him, my siblings and my children but tonight I’m not.

Thank you there’s not much anyone can say or do, I just feel thoroughly rotten and can’t snap out of it tonight.

I'm so sorry, I really hope he pulls through & makes a good recovery. People & medicine frequently do the unexpected 🌷

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Here's a big > because it sounds like you need one

I was in your shoes 3.5 years ago with my mum. She pulled through. Some complications, but she’s here.

Sorry you're going through this, sixties is so young for both of them. Whatever you're feeling is what you're feeling, of course you're affected, you can't expect to be able to snap out of it. You can't always be strong for other people. Look after yourself a little, allow yourself to fall apart a bit. You can have your practical head on again tomorrow

Oh that sounds very tough @Handholdtonight I'm glad you made it through the night - it always seems worst at night. Have you got a DH/P to lean on?
