Card /board games for two

Hi, I saw a thread a few days ago but I cant find it and didnt place mark it

Can anyone recommend any games for two (adults) people? Cheap but good ones preferably

On the thread I'd seen lost cities and a duel betwixt us which both sounded good but are really expensive

Just wanted to buy an extra present for my DH's christmas. Got the main one so dont want to spend loads but want a good game

Love letters - quick but fun

Hive, Patchwork, Sushi Go, Ticket to Ride.

Jaipur is a favourite here!

We also like 7 wonders duel (plus expansions), Catan card game, and carcassonne

Canasta.

The Forbidden games are super fun for 2 players and are also cooperative which is nice. There are 3: Forbidden Island, Forbidden Sky and Forbidden Desert. All have different rules and are really fun!

Codenames Duet is good. Its the two player version of the group game Codenames. Me and DH play it all the time, really good longevity.
