Anyone use Waitrose online delivery?

Couldn't decide whether to put this in Food or Money so went for Chat Grin. Been with Ocado for 9 years and always found them good. Always bought a mix of Waitrose, Ocado and other brands from them. Since the switch to M&S I'm missing a few Waitrose products (even though they've tried hard to copy the Essentials range with Remarksably Good Value) and wondered if anyone has missed Waitrose so much they've started using their own delivery service. I used it a few times before I discovered Ocado and found the website difficult to navigate and not enough choice of convenient delivery slots. Would be interested to hear about it from anyone who uses them.

We have used just about all the on line grocery delivery shops over the years. We have also used M and S Ocado and Waitrose in the last year.

M and S was a complete disaster no substitution for a Sunday dinner.

So we now use Waitrose who were using before the trial of M and S who we are aware are not the cheapest all their drivers are local and friendly bar one.

We di use Tesco for years at another location as we were on first name terms with the staff but the quality of produce deteriorated at our new location so we stopped using them.

We've used them for years, though haven't since the first lockdown as slots are scarce and were more than capable of picking up our own shopping (we do use click and collect)

What I do like is the sensible substitutions. All the staff are very polite and helpful and the products are of consistently high quality.

I long for the days when the Waitrose van chugs up to my door again

I've used Ocado since it started, and also started using Waitrose about a year ago in anticipation of the Ocado divorce. The Waitrose website is better than it used to be, but it's not as good as Ocado. I still mainly use Ocado, partly because I find it very easy to get a delivery slot, but harder with Waitrose despite allegedly being a 'priority customer'.

If you do use Waitrose, I'd suggest avoiding weekends. They pick from your local store and the shelves seem to be stripped pretty fast at weekends, I was getting missing items and subs. I get a much better strike rate with midweek deliveries - nothing missing last time.

Yes, we've used Waitrose many times over several years and found them to be the best of the bunch for this area by far.

I use it. It's not the best app / online slots choice etc but I am v loyal to Waitrose so am sticking with them!

I have used both, but use Ocado less since the switch to M&S.
I like the Natoora stuff Ocado does, such as the huge lemons with leaves still attached and their own thick slices of pancetta.
But I prefer Waitrose own label to M&S any day. Agree their website is not the best. (Although it's far better than it used to be!) Local Waitrose store to me is not thr biggest so have problems with stock levels, but so does Ocado from time to time.
Also WR deliveries are free if you spend over £60.

I tried Waitrose online for the first time this week. It was fine and the delivery driver was great. Plus no bags to recycle back to them. My one tiny gripe was that I mucked up on an offer and their app didn't tell me I had an incomplete offer when I was checking out - Ocado tell you.

We’ve used Waitrose for about 6-7 yrs and had no issues which went instantly sorted during that time, and have had no issues getting deliveries even over the last few months. Can’t fault them!

Thanks everyone, I might give them a whirl.

We couldn’t get Waitrose slots, despite being priority customers. We had Ocado, but I think it went downhill massively when it joined up with M&S. Grapes that went rotten after one day, things out of stock, despite their customer service assuring me they were fully stocked. Very disappointing.
