Present ideas for MIL: living alone with sight and hearing difficulties

My Poor MIL, she is living alone and cocooning at present. She can't meet her wide circle of friends, go on day trips, even watching TV is tricky for her due to sight and hearing loss. I worry about her isolated covid life and I'd like to get something that could help her. I'm sure there are tons of helpful gadgets out there. Any ideas welcome from the practical to the indulgent. Thanks in advance. PS she is not very tech savvy...

How about a large digital photo frame? If you upload some pictures of friends and family it keeps on turning and she doesnt have to do a thing! Or a talking ladies watch? not so ideal if you are cooped up for hours I guess...or an angle lamp to help her read a litlle better..or if she likes craft like knitting and crochet the RNIB have some great things to help partially sighted people...or you could even maybe look out for a nice bio orb fish tank filled with lovely tropical fish..these can be rented and maintained in homes like they do in offices so she wouldnt have the bother of cleaning it out someone could maintain it for her? very relaxing and lovely to watch..just a couple of ideas x

What sort of hearing equipment does she use? Hearing aids? You could buy her something like a personal radio aid so she could hear the tv better or maybe an amazon echo with some sort of radio aid plugged in (might be cheaper then a wireless TV one)

Connevans have lots of equipment to assist those with hearing loss to enjoy TV and radio www.connevans.co.uk/catalogue/629634/TV---Assistive-Listening
