That's quite a wide geographical range! If it's in Chinese characters I might be able to help.

BIWI · 26/11/2020 17:26

If it's Mandarin I might be able to help (assuming you can get the photo to load!)

Bigbestsister · 26/11/2020 17:34

I’m from Norfolk. Will that do?

PussyMalanga · 12/12/2020 18:00

Looks like it could be a fancy way of writing the Chinese character for snake 蛇

ChristmasUserName2020 · 12/12/2020 22:09

Is this for a tattoo? If so, don’t trust randoms on the internet to translate 😂😂

Snappyteabread · 12/12/2020 22:58

It's a picture. Cannot recall where it came from but think it was a gift

“Momo” in Japanese hiragana? Means peach, also a girl’s name? Just a guess!

Snappyteabread · 13/12/2020 21:38

Thank you. Any idea why this would be on a print?

蛇 is the Mandarin character for snake (traditional as well as simplified), and I think it could be an artistic expression of it, as @PussyMalanga suggests..

It's possible that it's one of a series of 12 paintings, representing the year of the snake, from Chinese astrology (there are 12 different signs, all of which are animals). Could that be why you were given it? If you were born in 1965, 1977, 1989 or 2001 that would be your Chinese zodiac sign.

Mencho · 14/12/2020 15:01

I think it might be a snake too. I asked my Japanese husband but he said he couldn’t read it because it was so stylised. It’s probably something to do with the zodiac, as other posters have said.

Snappyteabread · 14/12/2020 22:56

Thank you all. The funny thing is it's really not my thing and I have no recollection where if case from. Good to know it's Snake. Thank you

To me it looks like Japanese hiragana "yumo" which can mean "to help someone"
