Supermarket Robo-Delivery

One of our local chain shops has recently done robot delivery and honestly it has blown my mind.

I ordered some treats (hehe) and this little robot has come waddling down. It turned a 20 minute round walk into a half hour delivery so don't know how much I'll use it

Has anyone else tried the little robot-deliverer? It did brighten up my day somewhat, especially with all that's going on

You must do another order sometime and video it for us!

Is it like a scutter? A mouse droid?

Ps I live deep in the country, I don't think Harry Tuffins would bother with robot delivery

Yes, over again and film it. Really interested how that works! How much can he carry? 😂

Took a picture when I opened it but was so in awe of Wall-E (what me and the SO have officially coined it) that I forgot to video!

This is why we need to severely overhaul our education system.

Not sure why robot deliveries should equal overhaul of education in this country? I mean yeah, education could do with an overhaul but not because of robot delivery.

Oops at the canal one, maybe it determined that the canal was road (dark surface, flat etc)?

Dogs love them as much as the little kids 😂

Sounds dangerous for people who can't see. How does it prevent people tripping over it?

I've seen some near misses when bicycles and robots are about to go round the same corner.

They make a whirring sound and have a light when it's dark. They have a camera in them and stop if something is too close.

If your kids are interested...

They have had these robots over in Eastern Europe for few years now. My kids were mind blown when we first saw them back in 2016 - crossing zebra with lights for example..it waits for it to turn green and knows to go across. Definitely future of delivering.
