DD is 10 and is transitioning out of playing with toys and into her more teenage phase. She is really only interested in spending time on her tablet where she can play games and communicate with her friends. We monitor the time she has on it so we don’t want to buy her anything that encourages more screen time. She doesn’t know what she wants for her birthday. It would be lovely to surprise her but we really can’t think of anything’big’ she doesn’t already have (bike, tablet, laptop etc).
Any ideas for this awkward in between phase? She used to love playing with toys and crafting and drawing but not anymore.
