With Xmas coming up i'm looking for some good tips on fab cookbooks, both to give as pressies and also for meeeee coz I love a good cookbook.

Recently got the Curry Guy bible which is amazing (so good I bought it again for a family members birthday), and I love the Ottolenghi books. A big hole in my collection is a proper decent authentic pasta cookbook (sauces & actual pasta) and also a good Japanese style book with ramen and noodles etc.
Am thinking of getting Jack Monroe's vegan-ish one but any other vegan/veggie book recs would also be good - I love meat and still eat it, but a lot less than we used to.

Soooo hit me up with your faves, new and old, sweet or savoury, meaty or fish or veggie - i love it all!

The Silver Spoon series are great pasta cook books.

For meaty stuff, I love any of Stephane Raynaud's.
