Broken washing machine

Hi I have a bush washing machine which won’t start and the lights keep flashing. It’s about 2 years old. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to get it going before I called someone out.

Oh dear that's not good. Have you tried unplugging it and putting it back in again?

I just googled out of curiosity and it said:

'It suggests the washer may in an invalid state, the two most common reasons are child lock is enabled or a faulty door lock. Press and hold the first and third button from the left for 5 seconds (the who which have a key symbol associated with them), see if the start button flashes'

Definitely try unplugging first. Are you just getting flashing lights or an error code.
