Anyone remember these lampshades from the 1980s?

OK so this is niche but I have a real nostalgia for these lampshades which I am sure were common in pubs in the 1980s (and I think some relatives had them too), but I am completely unable to find any evidence they existed.

They were often on table or wall lamps and were printed with a night time street scene with an olde worlde atmosphere, with some of the windows in the buildings cut out to give the impression of them being illuminated as the light from behind shone through.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? I have fond memories of weekend trips to pubs as a child for scampi in a basket where the pubs were all dark wood, stuffed animals, horse brasses and these lampshades with the illuminated windows.

Better yet if anyone can find photographic evidence I would be thrilled!

I’ve found some (hurrah for insomnia)!

Here’s the best example I could find:

Looks like they’re 1950s originally and all seem to be fox hunting / coaching inn type scenes. I love the faux candlewax detailing on the stand on this as well, it’s perfect!

Slightly saddened they’re all fox hunting related (in my memory I’d imagined a more generic Dickensian type scene) but it does remind me how very normal it was to see the weekend hunt when I was growing up.
