Yes! There's something very cosy about it, especially if you have your favourite mug.

Justmuddlingalong · 24/11/2020 15:58

I'm feeling poorly. I've been drinking tea with 1 sugar in, which I never have, and it's so comforting.

Duggeehugs82 · 24/11/2020 16:02

Its funny cause i dont get the same feeling with coffee at all , i love my homemade latte ive been making with my milk frother which has been life changing since begining of 1st lockdown, i was spending so much on coffee shop lattes !

For me, it’s hot chocolate that has the warm hug feel to it.

Sakesman · 24/11/2020 16:10

Yes! I absolutely love tea. I used to get milky tea or coffee in my baby bottle back in the dark ages so I didn’t stand a chance of not being a tea Jenny.

Deadringer · 24/11/2020 16:12

God yes. And i really only like it when i am sharing a pot with someone else. If i am on my own i drink coffee.

Lazysundayafternoons · 24/11/2020 17:12

Coffee for me - especially the cup of decaf I have in the evening after work. So comforting.

cheeseismydownfall · 24/11/2020 17:18

Nah. A glass of wine is a big warm hug. A cup of tea is nothing more than an awkward handshake. Grin

AndromedaPerseus · 24/11/2020 17:30

Love a mug of most warm beverages

JengaNonConfirming · 24/11/2020 17:34

Nothing beats a cup of Lady Gray! I'm sure I drink too much tea Grin

Streamingbannersofdawn · 24/11/2020 17:34

I may actually hug my mug of tea...sometimes I'm not even thirsty just in need of a hug. I have issues.

grassisjeweled · 24/11/2020 17:37

Meh coffee is better

I love tea, at any time anywhere, but tea outdoors on a cold day is amazing. I had a cup of tea and a bacon roll in the park this morning, looking out across the fields with the trees with the last of their autumn leaves, it was bloody lovely.

Duggeehugs82 · 24/11/2020 20:39

Im having my first cup of decaf earl grey we shall see how it measures up! Ive been looking at different ways of getting comfort instead of resorting to unhealthy food and im thinking tea is definitely one option

I adore tea but DH makes terrible tea!
We're both WFH ATM and often make the other person a brew whenever were around the kitchen. His make me so sad. I will never tell him though

ponygirlcurtis · 24/11/2020 21:07

I didn't drink tea until I was pregnant with DS1 (at age 32) and now I am a total tea jenny. Sometimes I sit with my mug pressed to the side of my head - like I am leaning on a warm cushion that I can drink!

nosswith · 24/11/2020 21:14

@Biancadelrioisback I see what you mean. Nothing worse than weak tea.

MeMeMeYou · 24/11/2020 21:19

Yes black Earl grey with a little sugar, ahhhhh! Even got the 12 year old into it. Totally a warm hug 🤗

PajamasnoDramas · 24/11/2020 22:05

I’ve just started drinking red bush tea in the afternoon and it’s biscuity taste definitely feels like a hug in a mug, much needed in these times.

Belledan1 · 24/11/2020 22:10

Yes I agree. I dont like coffee or any flavoured teas. Nice cup milky weak tea with sweetener in it is lovely and I always give it a hug .Off to make one now .

SingingWaffleDoggy · 24/11/2020 22:12

I’ve completely gone off tea this pregnancy. I would love a cuppa but I’ve been sick shortly after each one I’ve tried.
Just to rub salt into the wound my toddler keeps asking for a lie in in mummy’s bed with a cup of tea and milk for her Sad
What I would give for a hot cuppa.

BashfulClam · 24/11/2020 22:12

Tea is rank so no!

Pepperwand · 24/11/2020 22:15

Absolutely love tea.

Drinking a cup of tea feels like having a bath on the inside.

BriocheBuns · 24/11/2020 22:19

Oh my goodness u nailed it, definitely like getting a big well needed hug

Duggeehugs82 · 29/11/2020 17:16
